The material selection of the car lamp housing

In general, the glass covers of headlights and taillights of vehicles are injection molded with high-grade polycarbonate (also known as PC, which is the material of resin eye lens). Polycarbonate has high hardness, high strength, high toughness, UV resistance and good light transmittance. Therefore, the color of the authentic lampshade remains unchanged and the transparency is good after long-term use.

(Car lamp housing)High quality bulbs have good light distribution and high brightness, while inferior bulbs have insufficient brightness, poor focus and short range. When overtaking, drivers will have visual illusion and are prone to accidents. Therefore, do not consider inferior bulbs when refitting headlights by yourself or when they need to be replaced due to damage.

(Car lamp housing)Most of the materials of cars and so on are plastic because the elasticity of plastic is stronger than that of glass. The downstream buffer will not be easily broken in case of severe impact. Even if it is broken on the road, it will cause strong damage to passers-by and animals. Light weight, plastic lamp shell is about 0.5 ~ 1.4kg lighter than glass lamp shell. Corrosion resistance, good impact resistance, high transparency, good insulation, low thermal conductivity, good mechanical properties, strong plasticity, easy to form and process.

PC, polycarbonate and other materials(car lamp housing) have excellent impact and transparency, good mechanical properties and electrical insulation, wide application temperature, high dimensional stability and high creep resistance. The internal structure of the lamp leads to a certain temperature difference in different parts. The temperature of some mirrors and trim rings may reach 100-190 ℃, so PC and pc-ht are generally selected in material selection.
